<image:title>Meet the iConnect Leaders - URBANO & NORMA CANCEL | ELMWOOD PARK LOCATION</image:title>
<image:caption>Urbano Cancel was born and raised on the Northwest Side of Chicago, in the Logan Square neighborhood. Introduced to church at a young age, he spent years running from God until the Lord encountered him at the age of 36—and he hasn't turned back since. He served in several roles at his former church, including Children’s Pastor, Men’s Ministry Leader, and percussionist. Urbano also earned his Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies from the International School of Ministry. After 15 years at Liberty Christian Center, Urbano and his wife stepped out in faith in December 2019 to continue serving God’s people in a new season. He now serves at Bethel Assembly as a deacon, iConnect leader, and First Impressions lead. His wife, Norma, was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago. She came to know the Lord in 2003 at the age of 29 and has spent the last 22 years faithfully serving in various ministry roles. For 15 of those years, she served alongside Urbano as a Children’s Pastor and also holds a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies. Currently at Bethel Assembly, she serves as an iConnect and First Impressions lead alongside her husband, and is also part of the Intercessory Prayer and Hospitality teams. Urbano and Norma are the proud parents of three children—Nathan, Natalia, and Nehemiah—and grandparents to Penelope and Jacoby. Together, they are a family that loves the Lord deeply.</image:caption>
